Part of The Great Wave Of Futurity

ICA At The Planetarium: Our Future In The Cosmos
A revolution is sweeping through the world of physics. Parallel worlds, alternative universes, notions of infinity, Big Freeze, the possibility of escape - as fantastic as these concepts may sound, they appear to be consistent with the laws of physics.

In this unique collaboration between the ICA and the London Planetarium, two internationally respected science communicators meet to explore the implications of the new science for our future on the planet. The event will be preceded by a brief Planetarium dome show.

Speakers: Michio Kaku, Henry Semat Professor of Theoretical Physics, City University of New York and author of Parallel Worlds, John Barrow, Professor of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics, University of Cambridge and author of The Infinite Book.

Eww, physics!

I am going to decline in favour of saving money for Sciffy London and Picocon, I think.

Sounds interesting; can't guarantee I'm free that evening, but would be up for coming in to London if I am.
